REBEL: Attitude meets identity

Inspired by street instinct, driven by non-conformity, powered by innovation. Step into the world of REBEL, a permanent digital exhibition showing what happens when you break the rules and embrace imperfection intentionally. REBEL is an intentional choice to deviate from the industry standard, sitting between realism and abstraction. By choosing a felt authenticity of bodily from and attitude, we ventured out to explore new ways of creating a mannequin. From 3D scanning a real person to embracing spontaneous beauty in the process, a collection is born that unintentionally captures the attention of anyone in the room.

I..

Designing a statement

REBEL is a reaction to the industry’s safe default: the abstract form. It reaches for a stronger identity instead of blending into the mainstream. Confident. Grounded. Fully present. Built to carry defiance in every pose.

Innovating with identity

Instead of starting with a basic form, the team scanned a real person, 360 degrees, moving naturally. A specific body with its own proportions and characteristics, kept intact rather than smoothed into a melted, “one-size-fits-many” shape.

Letting the process reign

The signature texture was never planned. While testing the 3D scanning and printing process, an early prototype came out rougher and more abstracted than intended. Rather than correct it, the team chose to embrace this accidental and unpredictable beauty.

Innovating with identity

The texture is closer to weathered Roman or Greek marble, or the surface of a papier-mâché sculpture, than to a clean mannequin finish. It sits somewhere between realism and abstraction, recognisable but never fully resolved.
